Extremely beautiful lightweight wool tweed 1960s Chanel Haute Couture dress and jacket ensemble in the most gorgeous palette of lilac, sage green and beige. The jacket is collarless with double slit pockets on both hips and stunning gold tone metal lions head buttons. Lined in beige silk with the iconic Chanel Haute Couture gold chain at the interior hem. The bodice of the sleeveless dress is crafted from matching beige silk, with a thin tie at the neck and a single lions head button at the waist. The matching tweed skirt is a-line in shape. Both pieces are finished with beige silk trim woven through the tweed. Very good vintage condition - there is some very light water staining at the neckline and a pin size hole in the silk bodice at the left hip when wearing. Haute Couture label with bolduc (style number) on back. Handmade in France.
