Mark Antony: Emperor of the Eastern Roman Empire. His Passionate love affair with Cleopatra queen of Egypt is legendary. As well as their love of gemstones. Antony was known to wear a red garnet ring into battle to ward off evil. He gave the gem to Cleopatra before the pinnacle battle of Actium to protect her from harm. She was not harmed during the hostilities. None the less the devastating lose led to the couples famed death. Immortalized Mark Antony's memory to this day.
